Still no word on whether Barack Obama will be making a public appearance in Lexington (hoping, despite what I’m hearing being negative), but he will be holding a private meeting with nurses Tuesday morning:

The Obama campaign today announced that Sen. Barack Obama will hold a community meeting with nurses at the University of Kentucky in Lexington on Tuesday, May 13th, 2008. The event is by invitation only, and is not open to the public.

Lt. Dan Mongiardo endorses Obama. Join the crowd…

LEXINGTON, KY – Today, Kentucky Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo announced his endorsement of Senator Barack Obama for President, less than two weeks before the state’s May 20th primary.

“I am happy to announce my endorsement of Senator Barack Obama for President,” said Lt. Gov. Mongiardo. “I believe Senator Obama can unite the Democratic Party and build a coalition of Independents and Republicans to win in November. A proven leader at working across the partisan aisle, he will bring relief to the hardworking families of Kentucky and a responsible end to the war in Iraq. As a surgeon I am particularly impressed with Senator Obama’s plan to deliver health care to all Americans, with an imperative focus on cutting medical costs for all families. It’s time for real change in Washington, and Sen. Obama is the candidate to deliver that change.”

Can you say “woot“?

ABC News’ Karen Travers Reports: For the first time this campaign season, Barack Obama has surpassed Hillary Clinton’s support among superdelegates, according to the ABC News delegate estimate.

Sen. Obama, D-Ill., picked up two superdelegates this morning giving him a new metric to tout in addition to his current commanding leads in pledged delegates, popular votes, states won, and money raised.

Rep. Donald Payne, D-N.J., switched his endorsement from Clinton to Obama and Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., endorsed Obama. DeFazio was previously uncommitted.

With these endorsements, Obama has the support of 267 superdelegates and Clinton has 265 superdelegates.

Don’t let it get you down Hillary… you can still win!!!

Obama!!!!!!!!!!! (UPDATE)

An absolutely HUGE night for Barack Obama!!!!!

A BLOWOUT victory in North Carolina…

And Indiana is not the blowout that Hillrod has been hoping for. It is within 4 points, and the BIG Gary-area has not even reported yet, which will be BIG for Obama. This could go under 2 points.

Wow.

There is literally no statistical way that Hillrod can win this nomination.

(but I kinda hope she stays in so Barack will campaign in Kentucky… so selfish of me :) )

UPDATE:

Hillary just declared tonight a victory in her speech.

D-E-L-U-S-I-O-N-A-L

UPDATE 2: That stampeding sound you hear is superdelegates running to the Obama camp.

UPDATE 3:

Wow. Obama might actually take Indiana. Lake County has 28% in, and Obama is up 18,000 there. He’s down 20,000 in the state. He’s going to WIN INDIANA if this keeps up.

Wow.

Hurry up and count your votes Lake County!!!

UPDATE 4:

Obama down only 16,000 with 44% still left in Lake County!!!

UPDATE 5:

Hillary’s first line tonight said that Indiana was the tiebreaker after she and Obama split PA and NC.

Whoops?

UPDATE 6:

MSNBC is reporting that Hillary has cancelled all appearances tomorrow. Hmmm.

UPDATE 7:

Open mouth, insert foot. Greg Stumbo:

“We tend to support people that we know,” said state Rep. Greg Stumbo, D-Prestonsburg and a Clinton supporter. “We’re a very clannish state in a lot of ways.”

Greg, I know you’re an good guy, so please choose your words a little more carefully, OK?

UPDATE 8:

Hillary wins by a hair. Delegates basically split.

Huge night for Obama.

Woot!

UPDATE 9:

I’m calling it loud and clear. Hillary’s not the VP, but our concession to her will not be much of a concession in my mind.

General Wesley Clark

Obama picks him, we win comfortably and turn this country around. Woot.

Meet the Pumpkin Head

Barack Obama was on Meet the Press this morning, and I must say that Tim Russert gave him some pretty softball questions, for the most part. It was almost like Russert was interviewing Cheney or McCain.

The first 15 minutes had to be devoted to Rev. Nutjob, of course. To do otherwise would be unprofessional and not very “serious”.
