I think she is great..If I just made history in KY, by winning my first race outta the gate, securing a victory with the largest amount of votes on the entire democratic ticket, I’d be “OVER THE TOP” TOO! Go Grimes Go!

Hate to say this Proud D but this wasn’t her first race. She ran against Flood in 08 for 75 state rep, and the Democratic leaders in the 75th Legislative District chose Flood. Also, she ran against someone who came off less likable than williams, and whose platform was to limit voting.

Was she in an election against Flood or was it a causus?
To get more votes than other down ticket candidates, people had to choose some republican’ts. As it turns out billjohns is verry popular with the more illiterate republican’ts so they were more likely to vote for him than other republican’ts.
Calloused hands have a better feel for the electorate than white shirts.

You should have seen the goon squad she had in Frankfort. Late in the night, and the place was pretty well empty, and she’s got a phalanx of big security dudes, at least 8 of them, making a moving wall in front of her. Bizarro world.
Note to candidate: You’re secretary of state – elect for the state of Kentucky. Your over-the-top security looks like what would be appropriate if you were in Hillary Clinton’s role as Secretary of State for the U.S.
Between her speech and the goon squad, I kept thinking she was channeling Evita Peron.
