"Fat guys"

Looks like Beshear just called the KY Senate GOP “fat guys” and then tried to deny it. Look forward to hearing this over and over and over again in the near future:

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Senate President David Williams said Thursday that Gov. Steve Beshear taunted senators with a “sophomore-ish” insult, calling the senators “fat guys,” but Beshear said later he never made such a remark.

Asked later about the comment later during a visit to Hardin County, Beshear denied referring to the senators as “fat guys.”

“I didn’t say that …” Beshear said. “It doesn’t even make sense.”

Kerri Richardson, the spokeswoman for the governor’s office, said later she spoke with Beshear about it.

“He said that he thought back and he said it must have been he was trying to say the word ‘fellow.’ and then changed his mind midway through and he said ‘guy,’” Richardson said. “It was just a stumble trying to say two words at the same time.”

That’s officially the worst audiotape excuse since Lt. Dan’s infamous “the audio was heavily edited”.

Fat dudes ain’t gonna take that lying down. If they can get themselves up off the couch.

(Of course, if Beshear had referred to David Williams as “limp wristed” that would have been totally cool)
