SHE WON'T GO!
Congressman Chandler’s political strategery continued apace this week.
On the one hand, he voted with the Democratic Party against defunding Planned Parenthood… even as 10 of his good Blue Dog buddies jumped ship.
And on the other, he and 12 other charlatans Blue Dogs voted with the delusional Republican Majority to defund Obama’s neo-communist reichstag of national socialist Czars:
The amendment was sponsored by Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), who listed the advisers in question as the “ObamaCare” czar, the climate change czar, the global warming czar, the green jobs czar, the car czar, the Guantanamo czar, the pay czar, and the fairness czar. It’s unclear if all these people exist…
In voting for this ridiculous amendment, Ben Chandler actually put himself to the Right of GOP Freshie Reid Ribble (R-WI) who voted against doing something so unrelentingly pointless.
Taken together, these two votes continue the Chandlercrat positioning that is neither left nor right nor moderate nor methodical nor well-reasoned. It is Ben Chandler’s politics of confusion.
When election time rolls back around — or in a few years when he challenges Rand Paul for the Senate — Chandler can travel to TeaPartyLand and beg those disaffected voters for votes they’ll never give him by playing up his Czar-vote. And he can travel to women’s groups and Democratic Party County Headquarters’ across the district telling them of his brave stand in support of Planned Parenthood… all the while hoping that all those good men and women listening to him either do not know or are too ashamed of themselves to mention that Chandler’s already struck three far mighter blows against women and common sense in the last Congress.
But in the seeds of confusion, Chandler hopes to be all things to all people while being absolutely nothing to anyone. Still… let’s give credit where it’s due, and thank Ben Chandler for confusing us with his Planned Parenthood vote. For whatever else you want to say about it, that was a good one.
